Forget-me-not Designs "Symphony" dress – it’s their standard size 12 and has no alterations to the fitting or to the length – I have only tried it on once! It’s made of silk taffeta with hand beaded lace sewn onto the top of the bodice. The large flowers are pearl and the smaller flowers are bugle beads. The thread looks like an interwoven silver and white thread. This extends down the left hand side and there is a detachable flower on the hip (This taken off very easily). The bodice is fully boned and has pleats that are very flattering when on. There is a small train at the back – again this can be shortened if necessary and/or button added so it can be hitched up. There is one netted underskirt to keep the A-line shape. The back of the dress is bodice lace up. There is also 2m of the handmade lace which was £90 a metre. This can be added to the whole of the top of the bodice (front and back) and sewn into the pleats to keep their definition, plus a short bolero jacket made in a 50’s style. There is enough lace to do this.
For the lace and the dress I have paid £1250 but would accept £750. I have receipts for everything. The dress was purchased from Anne Harding in Bristol. More pics can be emailed if necessary. |
