Stunning one strap designer gown from the vintage collection (optional removal of the strap to make the gown strapless) - the dress can be viewed at www.constantinabridal.co.uk under vintage collection but this dress looks quite different.
It has been customised by the bridal shop (Anna Priscilla Bridal in Glasgow - I have the receipts) so it has more of a romantic feel and a less formal look - I live in Manchester but travelled all the way to Scotland for fittings as I loved this adapted Annette over the original!
The lower brooch has been replaced by a corsage made of 2 large loose petal silk flowers (which matches perfectly in colour) & has a few ivory feathers attached. The top brooch has been removed as would be too harsh for the more romantic floral style.
Another aspect that drew me to this dress is the gorgeous/very unusual shade of ivory - a very flattering colour and shows off an hourglass figure very well.
The very long train shortened slightly for ease of moving around elegantly.
i'm just under 5ft 4 inches and wore shoes with a 6cm heel. I weighed 9 stone 4lbs at my final fitting (a small UK size 10 as I'm quite muscular) - the staff advised me to buy a size 12 & take it in as they told me the end result is much better if taken in rather than let out.
I paid extra to have concealed dance ribbons attached so the train can be hitched up off the floor for dancing in the evening (i paid a total of £229 for professional alteration arranged by the shop). |
